Vows

I promise that I’ll cherish you

And wipe your snotty nose

I pledge each morning when I wake

To love you head to toes

I make a pact with you today

To give you when you need

My shoulder for your head to rest

And mop the tears you bleed

I vow that I shall make you smile

And laugh ‘til you can’t breathe

Until the day my time ends here

Your side I shall not leave

I give my word that in the times

When our views don’t agree

That I will give this all my heart

And talk ‘til we find glee

Today we’re here to merge our souls

In front of you I stand
